Being into heavy music it's not something I'd be interested in but that bass in the background is so reminiscent of people like Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley - to me Lonesome Rider has got to be one of the best on the album and it really shows the bands diversity in being able to play all kinds of music. Listen to your favourite songs from Volbeat. One that really sticks out for me though is Lonesome Rider. My Body is just amazing, something you can really sing along to.
Pearl Heart and Black Bart follow in respect that they have a theme of like olden worldy. Lola Montez is just one I can never ever get bored of, it sounds like its a cheerful song but in fact its encouraging somebody not to fall in love with a show girl. Seeing as it was my first Volbeat album I just shoved it on shuffle and let it play for an hour or so and I've gotta say, it was worth the money I paid. I bought this album only knowing Cape of Our Hero and Dead But Rising and a couple other tracks from previous albums. Amazing album arguably their best good starting point for those new to the greatest rock band of our time at least 5 all time Volbeat classics on this Lola Montez,Lonesome Rider,Pearl Hart,Doc Holliday And my all time favourite The Sinner is You They are a Brilliant rock band but mix it up with a nod to rockabilly,blues and sheer brilliance Michael Polson is a genius amazing singer and his lyrics take you on a journey from the Wild West Americana Gangsters, to the heart of darkness and back with amazing riffs and brilliant inter changing guitars always adhering to the melody which his amazing voice blows your mind not afraid of their influences of heavy rock but they make it their own so uplifting buy all their albums they are all amazing hard to pick out their best but this is definitely up there I’ve seen all the Greats Sabbath Zeppelin Deep purple The Stones The Who to name but a few Volbeat are right up there for me and I do not say this lightly they are the Beatles of Heavy Rock the Quality of their amazing array of songs is something quite special Wake up to Volbeat the greatest rock band in the world
